Architectural design Projects
Peckham Lookout
Combatting poor mental health and green space deprivation my present Arts Community Center proposition for Peckham aims to promote environmental wellbeing through rewilding and creating a blue-green bikeway link from Peckham Rye common to Burgess Park. My primary building, sited on a current bus parking lot, consists of a radial series of art studios, cafes and workshops at ground floor level and a cohousing development accommodating local artists above. It weaves multiple environmental strategies from stack effect ventilation to reed bed filtration to create a building that boosts both human well-being and ecological health.
Work in Practice
Following the second year of my degree I chose to complete a placement at Design Engine Architects in Winchester which I have continued afterwards as part-time work while completing my third year.
I began the year working primarily on technical details, RCPs, GA drawings and internal elevations to name a few of the sorts of tasks I was asked to complete. Following a presentation I did in the spring covering digital art in blender I have also been asked to complete a variety of visualisation tasks. I have worked on projects including Stowe School's new DT building, The Guernsey Institute's expansion, Gordon Murray's HQ and Charterhouse School's new music building among others.
I have only shared publically available Images I produced here for data protection.
The Ecology Center
For the latter half of second year I was tasked with designing an ecology center in winchester, I chose to make use of the current bus depot as my site transforming it from a run down and largely empty area of concrete and tarmac into a biodiverse, pedestrian and socially activated series of spaces incorporating shops, a public library and performance spaces.

The Maggie Center Project
In the first half of Seccond year I designed a Maggie center in my design module. The charity Maggie's runs centers in the grounds of hospitals around the UK to provide support , counseling and other services for cancer patients . I have taken heavy inspiration from nature and Biophilic design embracing natural materials and forms in order to create a space conducive to calm and healing.
The Albert Road Pottery Studio Project
For my final first year project studying architecture I was tasked with designing a multi purpose pottery space on a long narrow site. Taking inspiration from the arched kilns historically used to bake pottery as well as the material of clay itself I developed this four story design with a shop, exhibition space , studio space , kiln room and pottery shop designed to slot into a site on Albert Road , a historic high street in Portsmouth.

The Box of Peace Project
As my first project studying architecture I designed a 'Box of Peace' , It had to provide a space in Guildhall Square in Portsmouth for people to talk , meet up with each other and find some peace in the middle of the city whilst remaining entirely within a 3 meter cube of space. After completing the initial design in our first term we then returned to the project in a technology module where we had to consider the structure of the walls , lighting , foundations , methods of thermal control and generate technical drawings for all of them.
